A slow motion video of chestnut backed chickadees. They often perch on our hands to sort through the sunflower seeds, weighing each in their beaks, looking for the heaviest one, and discarding the rest. Notice the hierarchal behavior of the two chickadees. Our smaller chickadee must wait for the dominant one to feed even though he was there first. The slow motion caption really gives us a good opportunity to see the interaction of these adorable birds. The music is the solo harp version of Black Capped Sweet-A-Dee which I composed and recorded on a 29 string Lorraine lever harp. The song can be performed by solo harp or by soprano voice with harp accompaniment. The lyrics are very cute so please check out the voice/harp version.
